Neda Moridpour + Rashin Fahandej + Azadeh Tajpour
Upcoming, June 2026
Boston, MA
This project is funded by the Boston Mayor’s Office for Arts and Culture's Un-monument | Re-monument | De-Monument: Transforming Boston 2025 initiative. “Interwoven Herstories” by artists Neda Moridpour, Azadeh Tajpour and Rashin Fahandej is an innovative AR-based digital monument that will transform public spaces in Boston into interactive hubs for storytelling and activism focused on bodily autonomy and intersectional justice. Utilizing archives from the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, this project will weave together a diverse array of interviews, visual arts, soundscapes, bridging the narratives from Iranian activists with voices of feminist activists here in Boston. This fusion creates a powerful narrative continuum that connects local and global struggles for gender equality and human rights.
Interwoven Herstories will activate three neighborhoods in Boston, engaging organizations and communities through partnerships with the Museum of African American History and the African Meeting House in the West End, The Freedom House in Dorchester, and the National Center for Afro-American Artists in Roxbury.
