This project is funded by the Boston Mayor’s Office as part of the Un-monument | Re-monument | De-Monument: Temporary Monument: 2025 Temporary Monuments initiative. “Interwoven Herstories” by artists Neda Moridpour, Azadeh Tajpour and Rashin Fahandej is an innovative AR-based digital monument that will transform public spaces in Boston into interactive hubs for storytelling and activism focused on bodily autonomy and intersectional justice. Utilizing archives from the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, this project will weave together a diverse array of interviews, visual arts, soundscapes, bridging the narratives from Iranian activists with voices of feminist activists here in Boston. This fusion creates a powerful narrative continuum that connects local and global struggles for gender equality and human rights.
