AUTUMN is a graphic novel that chronicles the life of Autumn, a fourteen-year-old cow rescued from a dairy farm, through a lens centered on animal liberation and interspecies justice. Designed especially for young adult and youth readers, the project uses narrative illustration, documentary research, and compassionate storytelling to expose the systemic violence of the dairy industry, including maternal separation, reproductive exploitation, and the mythologies surrounding milk consumption. By following Autumn’s journey from captivity to sanctuary, the work invites new generations to rethink their relationship to nonhuman animals, confront the ethical stakes of everyday food choices, and imagine a world rooted in care, solidarity, and collective liberation across species.
